Safety and Services Resident Survey Results

The Erie Housing Authority, since 2005, has contracted yearly for surveys of public housing residents to determine just how safe the Authority’s public housing residents feel — how safe they feel alone in their homes at night; how safe they feel walking alone at night in their developments or in adjacent neighborhoods; and how residents perceive crime in their neighborhoods.

Community Oriented Police And Probation Services

City of Erie Police-Quebec Unit
2110B East 10th St. Phone: 911 or the City of Erie non-emergency number, 870-1125, ask for the Quebec Unit.The Authority partners with the Bureau of Erie Police Department to provide on-site police coverage daily from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. in public housing neighborhoods. Assigned officers will do foot and bike patrols plus participate in neighborhood activities.

The Authority partners with Erie County Adult Probation to provide an on-site Adult Probation officer.

Erie County Juvenile Probation

The Authority partners with Erie County Juvenile Probation to provide an on-site Juvenile Probation officer. Any young resident given probation is assigned to this officer.
