Min Tha, a third grader at Lincoln Elementary School and a resident of Erie's public housing, was a lucky winner of a corporate teamwork building exercise by Networking Technologies of Erie.

The tech company, under the leadership of Jim Baum, president and CEO, recently embarked on an exercise to build teamwork by building bicycles.

Four teams of workers gathered to build four bikes -- the team that put its bike together the fastest won.

The result was more teamwork  and camaraderie within the company and four children's bikes that didn't quite have a home.

The company then decided to donate their bikes to young residents of the Erie Housing Authority.

Min Tha, in the photo above, who received all A's this quarter, and is a lover of math, was the first winner.

He told HACE Executive Director John Horan that he will continue to get good grades so he can go to college.

The other three bicycles assembled by the Networking Technologies teams  will be donated to public housing youths who participated in the Housing Authority’s Honor Card and Perfect Attendance Incentive Program. Their names will be drawn in June.
