It's all about ... turtles?

Forty youths from the YMCA Kids Clubs and the John F. Kennedy Center visited the Tom Ridge Environmental Center on Thursday, February 27.

The trip was sponsored by Sister Pat Lupo, OSB.

Tour guides were Sister Annette Marshall, OSB, from the Neighborhood Art House, and two environmental specialists from Presque Isle State Park.

Everyone toured the TREC Center and saw examples of wild life and plant life that populate Presque State Park, including the turtles. The group toured the indoor agua-pond study area where they saw several different types of fish and turtles, including a Lake Sturgeon.

The tour ended with a private screening of the movie "The Flying Monsters" -- a film depicting flying dinosaurs called Pterosaurs.
