Make your reservations now for the 75th Anniversary Celebration of the Housing Authority of the City of Erie by calling the Authority at 814-452-2425.

The Housing Authority is the oldest operating authority in the City of Erie and is one of the oldest authorities in Pennsylvania and in the country.  It has provided affordable housing for 75,000 citizens of Erie from World War II into the 21st century.

The Authority is proud of its role in the Erie Community and welcomes you to celebrate its 75 years of service.

The gala event, featuring dinner, entertainment, and two distinguished keynote speakers, will be held October 11, 2013 at the Bayfront Convention Center.

Speakers are Dr. Jay Badams, superintendent of the Erie School District, and Colonel Doris Tate-Johnson, U.S. Army retired.

Badams will reflect on the “Value of Public Housing.”  Tate is a former resident and “hero” of Erie’s public housing.

Entertainment will be presented by Sam Hyman.

Cocktails and a resident art exhibit will be at 6 p.m., with dinner at  7 p.m., and entertainment beginning at 8 p.m.

If you cannot attend, you may make a contribution to the Authority’s Children Scholarship fund.
