The Gannon University Health Fair sponsored by Junior/Senior Nursing students from Gannon University was a big success.

Held on Thursday, April 18th at the John E. Horan Garden Apartments Community Center, more than 250 parents and their children attended.

More than 25 students planned and implemented the program, which was, as usual, well thought out and very educational for parents and entertaining for students.

The Theme of the Fair was The Game of Life " – Come on in take a spin."

Individual students set up different stations on life skills for parents and their children, including  nutrition, driving safety and home safety.

Representatives from the City of Erie Fire Department, as well as officers from the Housing Authority's COPPS Program, staff from the YMCA and MCRC, Keith Burns from Erie County Adult Probation Office, and  Tammy Johnson from SafeNet all volunteered at the event.

Kim Blount, the coordinator from the Gannon Nursing Center, along with faculty from the Gannon University Nursing Program assisted the nursing students in this wonderful neighborhood event.
