The Gannon Nursing School Program of Gannon University held its 10th Annual Health Fair at the John E. Horan Garden Apartments on Thursday, April 12.

More than 200 residents attended the event, with about 125 of those being young Housing Authority residents, ages 5 to14.

The theme was "Being A Super You!" and focused on simple things residents can do live healthy lives, such as reducing their sugar and sodium intake from sodas and junk food, and eating the right kinds of snacks -- vegetables and fruits instead of Twinkies.

The event was a Gannon Nursing School project for junior and senior students, allowing them to introduce health education to Erie public housing residents.

These students organized and presented the entire event, including booths, displays, decorations, and information.
