The Erie Housing Authority recently held its Annual Employee Breakfast. The Annual Breakfast brings employees up to date on what is happened with the Housing Authority, regarding both its immediate and long-term goals.  In the immediate future, its all about a HACE team effort "For the Kids" and the March of Dimes.

This photo shows Bill Jackson, center, CEO of United Way, presenting HACE Executive Director Michael R. Fraley and HACE employees with a plaque acknowledging 23 consecutive years of increased giving by its employees to United Way. The HACE breakfast also honored new and longtime HACE employees with service lapel pins (for both females and males).

  • For example, the Authority is soon holding its annual Grilled Lunch fundraiser to raise funds for the  March of Dimes on Friday, April 27.
  • On the same day, HACE will also hold a Cake Auction at Schmid Towers Community Room to raise money for the March of Dimes, where the grilled lunches are to be distributed.  Local bakeries and employees have generously donated cakes for the Auction.
  • Attendees of the auction can see and bid on their choice of cakes when picking up their lunches.
  • The Authority will also hold a tailgate party for the March of Dimes Walkathon at Penn State Behrend on April 29 from noon to 3:00 p.m. There will be free giveaways at the Junker Center.

“As our late Executive Director John E. Horan (1977-2016) always said, ‘It’s for the Kids!’” said HACE executive Michael R. Fraley. “Thank you in advance for your kind generosity.”
