Born and raised in Erie, Dusti Dennis is looking forward to returning to her hometown to join the HACE team on October 2 as Deputy Executive Director.

“I have admired HACE for its strong resident initiatives and people-first approach and I am honored to return to my hometown to continue my professional career, assisting the authority in continuing with a tradition of excellence.”

She has been with the McKean County Redevelopment (MCRHA) and Housing Authorities for the past 10 years and has served as the MCRHA Executive Director for the last 9 years.

Dennis is a 1993 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Relations.  She has a strong background in social services, having held professional positions as a residential program worker, case manager, mental health therapist, mental health program specialist and grant writer.

Her experiences working with social service agencies showed her the value of access to quality, safe, affordable housing.  “It is the foundation we all need to be successful,” she said.

As Executive Director of the McKean County Redevelopment and Housing Authorities she led that agency through a full transfer of the City of Bradford housing authority to the McKean County Housing Authority (the first full transfer of both Public Housing and Section 8 programs in the State of Pennsylvania); created the Housing and Homeless Services Department to provide a one-stop housing resource for the residents of McKean County; and has worked diligently with county officials to address blight issues throughout the county.

She and her husband Greg are blessed with four children, Rachel, John, Matthew and Andy and two family dogs, Casey and Tanner.
