On June 30 the Erie Housing Authority sponsored another very successful "Meet Your Neighbor" event, this time at at Lake City Dwellings.

Lake City Dwellings Manager Kim Preston gets in the ... "whirl" ... of activities at the June 30 Meet Your Neighbor Day.

As at the June 23 Meet Your Neighbors event at the John E. Horan Garden Apartments, a good time was had by all – all residents and HACE staffers.

At least 100 people attended.

Again, there was something for everyone, including 200 books donated by Hooked on Books for Kids; COPPS officers interacting with kids and setting up a youth obstacle course; a disc jockey and music;  a hula-hoop demonstration and lessons; games put on by the Multi-Cultural Resource Center; and various informational tables sponsored by organizations such as SafeNet and the Erie County Public Library, GateWay, and Gaundenzia.

"These events are important," said Michael R. Fraley, executive director of HACE. "The more we do together and get together, the stronger we are and the more we can overcome."
