The Housing Authority of the City of Erie  is having its Annual Grilled Lunch fundraiser for the March of Dimes on Friday, April 22.

The lunch is open to everyone -- tenants, HACE friends and staffers, and to HACE partners and working associates.

"Your support would be greatly appreciated," said Daniel J. Roessner, the Authority's executive director. "Please pass on this poster and order form, to print out,  to anyone whom you think might be interested.'

"This is a great way to treat yourself and/or your hard working staffers and friends while supporting the March of Dimes," Roessner said..

HACE will also hold  a cake auction on the same day at Schmid Towers Community Room, where the grilled lunches are being distributed.  Local bakeries and employees have generously donated cakes for this auction.

Here you can bid on your choice of cakes when you pick up your grilled lunches -- all proceeds go to the March of Dimes.

The Erie Housing Authority will also hold a tailgate party for the March of Dimes Walkathon at Penn State Behrend on May 1, from noon to 3:00 p.m.

There will be free giveaways at Behrend's Junker Center, where the Authority will  provide free lunches of smoked pork, chicken, and side dishes.

"Remember -- 'It’s for the Kids!' -- the favorite phrase of John Horan, our late executive director," Roessner said.

"You can honor him that way."
